Art Virtual Learning
We are so glad you are visiting your grade level learning page.  Here are a few reminders. 
  1. Remember to access the assignments using the BPS Learning at Home Button.  These assignments are your daily core lesson. Here is a video to help you.
  2. Complete the work here on these pages assigned by your teachers. (video)
  3. Each day, we want you to engage in Enrichment, so be sure to complete at least 1 assignment a day from our Specialists activities.
  4. Log in to CLEVER to access the digital resources. How to Video.
Remember, when you are in school, you have 8.5 hours of learning.  While you are at home, we want to be sure you get as much learning in as possible!  Do your best work, then share it back with your teacher using the email feature in Clever, or through the REMIND app link that your teacher has shared with your parent.

Week 1

Drawing Challenge!

​As artists, it is important to challenge ourselves and try drawing new things we have never drawn before. Grab some paper and something to write with, and try out some of these drawing challenges. If you would like to, post a picture of your beautiful drawings! Next week, there will be new drawing challenges for you to try!

Ready for another art activity? Try this "Tracing Shadows" challenge! This activity works best on a sunny day, and you can trace the shadows of any toys or objects you would like. Have fun!

Week 3

A long time ago when I was in 4th grade, I taught my whole class how to draw Mickey Mouse. I never forgot how to draw Mickey, and I realized I could teach myself to draw anything I want if I practice and keep trying. Try drawing Mickey by following the steps one by one. Try out this Egg Hunt drawing activity! Try and use different types of LINES and PATTERNS like we have talked about in art this year.  Have fun and hide those baby chicks!

Do you have paper, a pencil, scissors, and tape or glue? If you do, try this paper flower activity! If you enjoy making one flower, try making more! You could decorate a door in you house, or brighten a family member's day by decorating something for them with your beautiful flower creations! Good luck!

Week 4

While I have been home, I have really enjoyed drawing portraits. Portraits are drawings of people. Try drawing a portrait of YOU, called a self portrait! Follow the steps below, and choose parts of the face that look like you! All you need is a pencil and paper!

Tyree Guyton is an amazing artist that created project to make an entire street beautiful. After 30 years, people are still turning that same street into art! Hear about life of Tyree in a book called Magic Trash on YouTube. I am always so inspired as an artist after reading the book,  The Shape of Things by Dayle Ann Dodds. Everything in the world is made up of SHAPES, just draw a shape, and see what you can turn it into!

Week 10

The weather is getting warm and flowers are blooming outside! Click the links above to learn how to draw a cute sunflower and a tulip in a pot. All you need is paper and something to draw with!

Ask an adult at home if there is any dry pasta around the house that you could use, and try making a PASTA PICTURE! Use spaghetti for straight lines!

Week 11

Try out this really fun blindfolded guessing game with someone at home. Draw something with a blindfold on, and see if someone at home can guess what you're drawing! You could make the game even more challenging by drawing with your opposite drawing hand!
