2019 Footbridge Program
Welcome Students and Families!
Academics are the primary focus and specifically, engagement in STEAM activities. The underlying objective of the summer program is to provide the opportunity to impress upon rising fourth, fifth and sixth grade students the value of higher education, to provide them with an authentic on-campus experience, and to instill an expectation whereby they will see themselves as future college students.
This year's courses include: Robotics/Coding; Science of Exercise, Conservation; Biomes; Physics, Sign Language; and Science of the Senses. The children are conducting daily experiments and learning so much in their classes. Be sure to ask them about their day!

I think we have some pilots in our future.
The 5th and 6th grade students visited the New Bedford Whaling Museum. There they learned about the history of whaling. There was also an exhibit about Cape Verde, which the students loved.
