The Gilmore Elementary School Faculty recommends Elizabeth Morin with the honor of receiving the Superintendent’s Red Apple Award. Elizabeth, “Liz”, has dedicated 15 years of service to the Brockton Public Schools in a variety of roles and grade levels. Liz is known for her patience, initiative, leadership, and team orientated character at the Gilmore school. She is a progressive thinker, a problem solver, and embraces change. At the center of her practice is always the individual child. At the Gilmore, Liz is a lab classroom teacher for our Reader’s Workshop implementation as well PBIS coach and Lead instructional grade level TEAM facilitator. Her data collection, thoughtful assessments, and differentiated practice is evident each and every time she presents a child’s profile. She truly knows every child/student in her class. Through the last few years, Elizabeth has been the steady constant to her ever changing grade level team, steering them towards the horizon in order to support new members to the Gilmore ELT model. Liz is reliable and dependable and provides sound advice as a mentor teacher to both novice and veteran colleagues.
